Carlin Electronics

Carlin Electronics stemmed from my longstanding interest in old hardware and computers, combined with a well-timed auction from a local community college. Since they had recently acquired new IT infastructure, I took the computers they no longer needed off their hands at minimal cost. After refurbishing and repairing the majority, I created Carlin Electronics as a way to give the still very functional machines a new life.

My decision was in large part driven by my knowledge of the digital divide, and the hope that computers can provide a pivotal means of access to the internet for the underprivleged and financially unstable. This guides all of my pricing decisions, as the computers that people need most are always priced as low as reasonably possible.
